Patricia L. Morin

Patricia L. Morin

October 2, 2019 Patricia L. Morin

Patricia L. Morin MA, LCSW is a licensed psychotherapist in NY and CA with 30+ year experience. She has is also a licensed herbalist (American herbs), a licensed Pilot (single engine), and has published four short-story mystery collections: Mystery Montage, Crime Montage, Confetti, and Deadly Illusions.

Since her mom worked in New York City and loved theatre, Pat was taken to live theatre monthly, thrilled with plays at an early age. “Hello Dolly” with Carol Channing awed her—the glitz, the music, the color and the lights. Now, she favors “Night, Mother” by Marsha Norman, and “In Search of Intelligent Life in the Universe” by Patricia Wagner, starring Lily Tomlin, a play she watched twice in one week.

The power of the human condition on stage became her color, lights, and glitz. Theater is in her blood, along with a love for live performance that unfolds questions about the heart of humanity.

In 2012, she wrote her first short play, “The Gatekeeper,” a story about Camille, who claims the Gatekeeper of Buried Emotions buried the wrong feeling, “anger.” Camille wants to bury mistrust, instead. The play won all the awards at the Fringe of Marin, and in 2016 was selected as one of the best shows in Fringe’s 25 years. Her playwright career begun, she flashed her mom a smile.

In 2019, “Hit List” won the Best Short Play at Playwrights’ Center of San Francisco. Pat enjoys dark comedies, and all plays that deal with the affairs of the heart.
